About Carolyn
I am a realist painter, my preferred mediums are pastel and oil.
Living in the picturesque seaside township of Mandurah (WA) gave me the initial inspiration to paint seascapes. My favourite subjects come from my travels including stunning outback Australia.
Early artistic influences were from Arthur Streeton, Frederick McCubbin and Tom Roberts. Today those influences have further evolved from workshops by Lyn Diefenbach, Ev Hales, Robyn Collier and Kasey Sealy.
I am a member of Mandurah Plein Air Artists and ten year member of Art in the Springs Art Group.
I paint mainly for my own satisfaction and if others find merit in my work that amplifies the enjoyment that painting brings.
Monet's Garden, Giverny, France.
